SAFETY IS UNIVERSAL

The Universal Studios Lot is a sprawling 400-acre complex home to a suite of modern film production facilities and the brand’s historic backlot stages. With everything from studio tour trams to 45-foot long production trailers moving through the lot every day, the Studios Post team asked Charley to develop a traffic safety campaign for the complex’s network of roadways. 

To bring a creative spirit and a little bit of fun to this utilitarian message, our creative approach tied in references to some of the studio’s most iconic films while clearly communicating the important traffic rule touch points. In addition to instructional signage, we designed a plan to place campaign messaging into off-road assets, including the coffee cups used in the lot’s cafes and craft services, as well as key chains, car magnets and bumper stickers.

The simple, graphic illustration style allowed us to give a nod to the different properties and maintain a visual theme throughout the campaign.
